Swiggy is hiring a Software Development Engineer I to contribute to the design, architecture, and development of complex software systems. The role involves collaborating with product and business teams to translate requirements into technical designs and develop reliable, scalable, user-facing applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop user-facing features and mobile applications.
• Contribute to high-level and low-level system design and architecture.
• Build reusable code, components, libraries, and maintainable software.
• Ensure the technical feasibility and accurate implementation of UI/UX designs.
• Deliver pixel-perfect interfaces across Android devices.
• Optimize applications for performance, speed, and scalability.
• Follow coding standards and best practices to improve software quality.
• Understand and work with the internals of third-party libraries.
• Support unit testing and test-driven development.
• Collaborate with product, business, and engineering teams to deliver critical applications.
Requirements:
• Proficiency in React Native and React fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of native Android development.
• Good understanding of JavaScript ES6 and later versions.
• TypeScript experience required.
• Knowledge of design patterns and clean, reusable, maintainable code.
• Familiarity with Git and version control.
• Experience with Redux, Redux Saga, Zustand, or Lerna is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Jest, React Native Testing Library, and test-driven development is beneficial.
• B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed institution.
• 1–3 years of experience in product development; strong internship or project experience may be considered.
Work arrangement: Hybrid, full-time, based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
